Hi, there! I hope you’re all doing great. My name’s Damian and I’m spending my summer in South Lake Tahoe right now. At the end of May I came from Poland within the Work&Travel Program, so as to work as a Marketing Intern at Beach Retreat & Lodge. It’s a hotel providing lodging, dining and meetings & weddings space. It is located in the heart of South Lake Tahoe, a small city just next to the state line of California and Nevada. The city is surrounded by the majestic Sierra Nevada mountains and, as its name suggests, is located on the southern shore of perfectly clear Lake Tahoe. That’s it for introduction, let’s switch now to some not that obvious topics! 😊
What is the Work&Travel Program about?
If you are wondering what the program is actually about – according to Wikipedia:
The Summer Work and Travel Program provides foreign students with an opportunity to live and work in the United States during their summer vacation from college or university to experience and to be exposed to the people and way of life in the United States.
What kind of content may you expect on the blog?
Traveling is my passion and so is for majority of tourists visiting Lake Tahoe area. Therefore, content you’ll find there will be predominantly related to activities that are worth to try while being around the southern shore. Obviously, there will be a lot of photos and videos to actually show you the places that are worth visiting. I’ve already been to a bunch of them and trust me: you’ll love Lake Tahoe from the bottom of your heart!
To begin with, let’s have a look at some photos taken at the Emerald Bay State Park – a scenic landscape area that is located just 10 miles away from the Beach Retreat & Lodge in South Lake Tahoe. Highly recommended!
